Tailored Training Courses
Any of the Institute’s courses can be tailored to meet your organization’s specific needs, for presentation either at ToRobert Business Training Centre or in-house on your premises or at your location. If the course you require is not listed please contact us and we shall advise if we are able to meet your needs. The Institute does not profess to ‘know everything about everything’ but if we do not have the expertise that you require, we can identify alternative training providers or some other means of meeting your requirements.

Training Needs Analysis
It is essential to PNG that funds and resources are wisely invested in training and development activities that will positively improve performance and productivity and not be wasted on ineffective or cosmetic training. The Institute makes every endeavour to ensure that its clients and participants receive top quality training that improves the knowledge and skills relevant to their jobs, their development and organization’s goals. Wastage on training is most frequently due to the lack of Training Needs Analysis. The Institute is well equipped to assist in this regard and we can deliver cost-effective training needs analysis for your organization, however large or small, public or private sector, whatever your business. Our methodology is tried and tested and it will clearly identify training needs within your organization, place a priority on the training needs and provide a realistic basis for development of your training plan. In general terms the overall cost approximates K200 per employee, which is a small investment considering that, in most cases, the cost of training one employee, for just one day, will exceed this amount.

Management Development Needs Analysis
All too frequently managers overlook the prime need for self-analysis. Some even suggest that it isn’t necessary – not for themselves anyhow! The Institute has developed a half-day program of self-analysis for managers. It is non-threatening, informative and confidential – but above all it gets managers to think about their strengths and their weaknesses and how they can improve personal performance.

Facilities

Located in secure, peaceful surroundings within minutes of both Port Moresby CBD and Waigani, the ToRobert Business Training Centre, Vanama Crescent has been designed for quality presentation of both residential and non-residential training programs, seminars and conferences. Our facilities include:

  • A fully equipped conference room for up to 200 participants
  • Two fully equipped training rooms
  • Support printing and audio video services
  • A library
  • 16 twin-share rooms with ensuite facilities and computers
  • Associated kitchen/dining facilities
  • Hauswin/garden area
  • Secure Parking

Refreshments and lunches are served in the attractive garden setting or in the main dining room. The garden can also be used for syndicate work and for post conference social functions.

Accommodation
The ToRobert Centre provides comfortable budget priced air-conditioned accommodation in twin share or single rooms, all with refrigerators and private ensuite facilities. Breakfast and Dinner are served in the Dining Room. Laundry service is available. The facility has adequate back-up power generation and water services and friendly staff are always on hand to assist in making every function a success.
