CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

1.1. Member Banks
Banks may become a Member Bank of the Institute on written applications to the Board and payment of appropriate fees as determined by the Board.

1.2 Corporate Members
A legally constituted organisation or government department may become a Corporate Member of the Institute on written application to the Director and with the approval of the Board of Directors and payment of appropriate fees as determined by the Board.

1.3 Associate Corporate Member
A legally constituted organisation or government department may become an Associate Corporate Member of the Institute on written application to the Executive Director and with the approval of the Board of Directors and payment of appropriate fees as determined by the Board.

1.4 Personal and Professional
Any person wishing to become a personal or professional Member may apply in writing to the Institute.

The following are the grades of personal membership:
1.4.1 Member
Any person employed or with an interest in banking, finance or business may apply for membership of the Institute. The grade of Member does not require academic qualification.
1.4.2 Graduate Member
Graduate membership may be awarded to Members who have graduated in either the Certificate in Banking or the Certificate in Business Management.
The following are the grades of professional membership
1.4.3 Associate Member (APNGIBBM)
Associate Membership maybe awarded to a person who has graduated in the Institute’s ‘Certificate of Banking’, the ‘Certificate in Business Management’ or their equivalent and has a minimum of three (3) years banking, finance or business experience.
1.4.4 Senior Associate (APNGIBBMSnr.)
The status of Senior Associate may be awarded to a person with Associate status, who has been a member of the Institute for at least three (3) years, has at least fifteen (15) years experience in banking, finance or business with at least five (5) years at senior management level.
1.4.5 Fellow (FPNGIBBM)
Fellowship may be awarded to a person who meets the requirements for Senior Associate status and who has a Masters Degree or Doctorate or who has submitted an acceptable post graduate thesis to the Institute.
1.4.6 Honorary Fellow (FPNG IBBM Hon)
On the approval of the Board of Directors Honorary Fellowship of the Institute may be conferred upon a person for distinguished service to the Institute or the Papua New Guinea banking industry.
1.4.7 Honorary Life Member (LMPNGIBBM Hon.)
On the approval of the Board of Directors Honorary Life Membership of the Institute may be conferred upon a person for distinguished and meritorious service to the Institute or the Papua New Guinea banking industry or a person who has been a member of the Institute for forty (40) years or more.


CORPORATE MEMBER

Any company, organisation, government department or provincial administration may apply to join the Institute as a Corporate Member.

Corporate Members must commit to enrolling a minimum number of students on an Associate Diploma or Diploma program for a minimum 3-year period. Corporate Members receive a special rate for these enrolments, with a guaranteed maximum escalation rate of 4% per annum. In addition Corporate Members receive preference for enrolment on all courses and for the use of the Institute’s conference, training and accommodation facilities. The Chief Executive of a Corporate Member may apply for a seat on the Board of Directors.

The 2007 annual subscription for Corporate Membership is K3,200.00 (plus VAT) and the enrolment day rate is K260.

ASSOCIATE CORPORATE MEMBER
The Institute’s Constitution and Rules of Association provide that any legally constituted organisation or government department may apply to join as an Associate Corporate Member of the Institute.
Associate Corporate Members receive preference for enrolment on all courses and for the use of the Institute’s conference, training and accommodation facilities. Their staff may join as ordinary members and thereby receive invitation to all professional and social events that we hold.
Associate Corporate Members receive a 15% discount on all fees and tariffs.

Invitation to become an Associate Corporate Member

Associate Corporate Members receive a 15% discount on all fees and tariffs. 
The current annual subscription for Associate Corporate Membership is K3,100.00 (plus VAT) and during the second half of the year the Fee is pro-rated to K1,550.00.

Apart from the professional distinction of being an Associate Corporate Member, just 2 enrolments on an Associate Diploma course make membership a cost-effective proposition.
